Textured Finishes - Dulux AcraTex
Dulux AcraTex has over the last 20 years been responsible for putting more buildings on the “Best Dressed List” than any other texture coatings manufacturer. So if you're serious about Colours and Appearances for your home then Dulux AcraTex is the answer.
Dulux AcraTex "From Old to New". NOT your typical painted cement render.
Why Choose Dulux AcraTex?
Dulux AcraTex is Australia's largest supplier of texture coatings in the residential and commercial market. Some of their textures systems have been in service for over two decades and they show little or no deterioration, even under the harshest of conditions.

Dulux AcraTex - "The Test Of Time"
The photos below shows you the advantage of having a "Dulux AcraTex System" over a "Typical Painted Sandfinish Cement Render". The two types of finishes may look the same in the beginning but that's where the similarities end.

Dulux AcraTex. "Texture coated 2004, photo taken 2009"
The house in the photo above is located close to the ocean and was textured coated in 2004. The photos were taken in November 2009. As you can clearly see there are no cracks and no fading, the colours look as fresh and as vibrant as the day in which they were applied.
The house in the photo below was built in 2007 and is your "typical painted sandfinish cement render". The cost on the two systems may seem substantial in the beginning but when you take the overall cost of the house and the long term factor into consideration, it really is quite marginal.

"Hairline cracks, what hairline cracks?"
Hairline Cracks. Dulux are so confident in their product that they will even give you a 10 year Dulux written warranty (see "Warranty") on their AcraTex 3-coat systems that are applied to your house. "Try getting that with a painted cement render?"
Dulux AcraTex - "it's all about the preparation."
"Doing the job right the second time can be a costly exercise"
Tip; if you are building a two-storey house or a Second Storey extension in Blue Board, I strongly recommend a Dulux AcraTex 3-coat system. Not only will you get peace of mind knowing that your system is backed with a 10 year written Dulux warranty (see "Warranty" ), but you won’t have to repaint the exterior walls again for many years to come. Repainting can be a costly exercise especially with the cost of having to re-hire the scaffolding, etc. So why not do the job right and do it once.
Did you know; that Acrylic Textures Systems was actually invented in the early 80's because of too many limitations and failings with Cement Render? Those problems still exist today with cement render.
Dulux AcraTex "Even the Mandurah locals come around to admire our work".
The photo above was taken early morning before sunrise hence the quality of the picture. The photo below is what the house really looks like in the light of day.
